Emotions eBook Arnie Cantarero Kiyomi Sakamoto

First of all I want to thank the author, Arnie for bringing such an amazing story to life. Emotions is a book I really enjoyed and Jason one character I know I want to read more about in the near future.

Onto the things I liked the most. Emotions is a story packed with a lot of action, actually it took me just a few days to read it. I could not stop, I did not want to stop reading it. Thing after thing happening, I just wanted to know what was next for Jason and all the other characters. I like how unique the premise is. Here is Jason, like the description shows us, an emotionless extraterrestrial, living in our planet, right there it was enough for me to want to read it. No emotions, makes you think how it would be like not to feel anything, no sadness, no happiness, no pain, no fear?

I also like how Emotions is easy to read, not complicated words, not complicated descriptions like other few Sci-Fi books I have read before. Well-developed characters, action-packed scenes, unexpected twists, a fast paced story in my opinion, complex but at the same time simple and beautiful. I like how this story is not predictable at all, every time I though I had it figured out there was something that changed everything, all the action going on, oh I loved that. And the ending, again, not expected but I liked it.

Jason is one of a kind character. Not able to have emotions, to feel, but he always tries to make sense of us Humans and the things we do which for him dont make any sense at all, questioning why Humans do certain things like drinking. Though I could not help but feel bad at times that he has to pretend or emulate emotions for the sake of not being discovered by the people around him. Love the dialogues between Computer and Jason and how sometimes Computer takes over so Jason does not end up doing the wrong thing or doing the right thing at all. For been an emotionless extraterrestrial Jason is loyal and cares for the others, specially Ariel, not intentionally as we Humans do but that's how I felt it. Smart and a character that made me be invested in the story. I also like how we see more of Jason through the pages on his own words, his thoughts, his own state of mind: "I'm an emotionless being in an emotional world. A rough combination to say the least".

Overall, I liked and enjoyed the book a lot. Like I said, the premise and Jason as the main character make this story a unique one. I like how we can see the character's transition from very young people to a more adult life. Made me keep wondering how hard it would for a person to be emotionless specially in that teenage period, and for Jason who we dont get the emotions at all.

Emotions, a book I highly recommend and I can't wait for the sequel to be published. I need to know where the story goes next.

Emotions eBook Arnie Cantarero Kiyomi Sakamoto Reviews

I found the terminology difficult to believe at times, but otherwise this book is well written and engaging.

Read with the AV Book Lovers.
I really enjoyed this book. The author did an amazing job to pull me into this world. Everyday I looked forward to reading it. It sad that I finished it and now have to wait for the second part. I think you will enjoy the authors imagination. You will be taken through Jason's childhood up to his adulthood and never a dull moment. I hope to see many more books from this Author.
I could NOT put this book down! I read it from cover to cover in two days after receiving it! There was an instant connection with Jason that pulled me in and kept me captivated throughout the whole book! I'm still on the edge of my seat, wanting more! I can't wait for the sequel!
Wonderfully written! From beginning to end, I was pulled in to the story and connected with Jason. A few topics touched upon 'real-life' situations and were depicted in a great fashion. The story is depicted in a funny, sensible and straight forward style. I enjoyed every word on every line on every page. Can't wait for book 2 to be published!!
4 Stars for Young Adult Readers, 3 for Hard Core, but not fanatical Sci Fi readers

This is a good book for the beginning Sci Fi reader or young adult just getting into the genre. The author did a good job with character development and it is what I would call an “Easy Read”. Older or more discerning Sci Fi readers and tech savvy individuals may notice a few instances or missed opportunities, but for a (I believe) first time Sci Fi novel, it can be overlooked.
This book was an unexpected roller coaster!!!Kept me at the edge of my seat a bit. I hope there’s a sequel.Emotions is light SF and it surprised me in a very good way since I’m not a fan of the hard science fiction. (Like star trek) The story gripped me from the start even if at times I wasn’t sure where it would go. After the first 50 pages or so I found myself unable to put it down. Definitely an author to keep an eye out for and a book to read. You won’t be sorry. 2 thumbs up
I really really liked the idea behind this book. I like the idea of a cyborg kind of alien/human that has lost emotions and trying to grow up and interact with the world. The child like perspective was cute and as the character progressed in age it was nice seeing the different ways he reacted. But for me, at times the story ran a little long. If the author decides to make corrections I would suggest finding ways to be more concise at at times. I have a habit of not enjoying the "too happy" solutions to problems. They remind me of the "hallmark" type of movies and it's hard to get lost in the romance of reading when the plot keeps having this "nice" solution. But that is my personal biased view. I got a little lost near the end the plot skipped and moved time/ perspective out of nowhere. It was nice seeing that new perspective but it was a jolt. And the ending felt quick... but it's still an interesting read.
